RASG Hebrew Academy - The KEY Fits

RASG Kids

Students from the RASG Hebrew Academy, under the leadership of their faculty advisor Bari Gurnin, have created a stellar group of socially conscious students call the Key Club.

Meeting regularly since the Spring 2006 Eimatai conference, the Key Club has created monthly programs in their school to increase student activism.

One amazing program was called Penny Wars. Five empty water jugs were placed in a central location in the school, one for each grade, and one for the Faculty/Administration. The goal for each group was to have the most amount of pennies in their jug by the end of the month. The trick was that nickels, dimes, quarters and dollars counted as negative points! The Sophomore class won the challenge as they filled their bucket with pennies, and the rest of the bucket with dollars! All the money went to support needy Jews in Jerusalem.

Kol HaKavod to the Key Club, and good luck to YAD - Youth Acting for Darfur, the newest RASG initiative founded by students who came on the Spring 2007 Eimatai Conference.
